Holding the baby
I've had three nights on my own but now the girls are back in town. And its great. And best of all was cradling my baby back to sleep just now. She's had her top up feed and now she's back down again and hopefully she'll sleep til morning. Holding the baby is just the best thing there is.

All the brightly coloured plastic...
I have a plan. It has formulated in my mind over serveral weeks. Fermenting. Gestating. Growing. And now it is ready to be born. I have a plan to own All of the Brightly Coloured Plastic in the World. Yes! It will be mine. All of it! And I am not far away from my goal. The other day my wife purchased a spiky yellow ball. To add to the stacking bricks we already had. To add to the baby gym we already had. To add to the twisty-turny rattle thingy WE ALREADY HAD. To add to the... oh, my god. Help. I can't find the front door. There's a giant wheely chair in the way. I own ALL THE BRIGHTLY COLOURED PLASTIC IN THE WORLD!
I do still need to buy a high chair, though. Any recommendations?

First Words
Its midnight thirty and I've just fed Madeleine. I can hear her snuffling upstairs and I'm hoping that she'll settle. This time. Madeleine is a little baby. And I am her Daddy. And this is what I think about it...
